"The most heart-warming ceremony I have ever experienced"

Welcome to Rose & Grace, a collaboration between my Mum and I as Independent Celebrants. My Mum’s name is Julie and I’m Natalie. Together and individually we create beautifully personalised ceremonies for weddings, namings and vow renewals.

Traditionally weddings and christenings have been conducted by a church official or registrar and follow a format that doesn't really allow for creativity and personalisation. The most important aspect of our job is to create a ceremony with you and for you, including all the elements that you want and nothing that you don't.

When my husband and I got married in 2011 in Rhodes, Greece, we didn’t have the option of a celebrant and unfortunately our registrar would not allow personalisation of our ceremony. All we could do is strip out the parts we weren’t comfortable with, which meant that it was left quite short. We had a wonderful ceremony despite this because of the beautiful readings given by my best friend and father-in-law and the vows that my husband and I had written ourselves. Nevertheless, I would have loved a ceremony that told our own, unique story, and shared with our loved-ones the heartfelt wishes that we had made for our married life together.

When my younger sister asked Mum and I to conduct her wedding ceremony in 2017 the passion behind Rose and Grace was ignited! Knowing that my sister and her fiancé didn’t want anything too ‘weddingy’ we worked together to create a relaxed, unique and personal ceremony that perfectly suited them and inspired us to work with other like-minded couples and families.

Our passion in what we do has grown and grown. It is an absolute joy to see a couple relax and smile as they listen to their story, and to see their loved-ones enjoying every word.
